Brief History:
Sharpay has always been and will always be a spoiled child. She was born with her fraternal twin brother Ryan to the most loving and giving parents that she could have ever asked for. From day one she was pampered and primped and spoiled. Given everything a girl could ever want. And everything had to be her way. As she grew up, Sharpay had things more and more her way. Everything she owned had to be pink. She began getting her first beauty treatments at the age of four. Nails, hair, anything you could possibly imagine.
Also at age four, Sharpay began to enter dance classes and voice lessons, and performed in pagents and recitals with her brother Ryan. She didn't like feeling equal to him, however. She felt like she had to be the star. So she auditioned and won the role of Dorothy Gale in her preschool production. This was just an offspring to many, many more productions.
This was around the time that Sharpay turned from a sweet girl to a scheming girl. She began to use her brother to help her accomplish the things she needed and to help her practice. And though she had him convinced they were a team, they were anything but. She always won the lead and was wrapped around the finger of every drama teacher they ever had.
And so time went on and Sharpay was the queen of the school. Or so she thought. She developed a small crush on Troy Bolton during her freshman year at East High. Though Troy never seemed to really notice her. He was far too into his basketball for his own good. So in her junior year, Sharpay decided that was the year to make Troy fall madly in love with her. That was, until Gabriella Montez showed up. It drove Sharpay crazy to see how Troy looked at her.
That was when Sharpay decided she wanted to make the other girls life hell. She schemed and planned. Nothing she did ever worked. And to top it all off, Gabriella and Troy stole the lead of the high school musical, much to her annoyance. She learned to deal with a secondary role, but was determined to make sure that it didn't happen to her again.
So during the summer, Sharpay had Troy hired at her parents country club. This was just another attempt to get him to notice her. Little did she know that along with Troy, all his friends had been hired on the staff. Sharpay couldn't have this happen. Immediately she set about getting them all fired, while trying to get closer and closer to Troy. And it almost worked before Troy got a reality check. And what made it worse was that the talent show had been stolen from her. Once again, her one and only love was ripped away from her.
More annoyed than ever, Sharpay entered her senior year and was determined to have things go her way. The power had been taken away from her long enough. But once again, the lead had been taken away from her and given to Gabriella. She had already learned to deal with this, but that didn't mean that she wasn't going to try and steal the spotlight once more. Her attempt to break up Troy and Gabriella was slightly successful when Gabriella left early to go to university and she was given the lead of the play once more. Until.. Gabriella came back.
Finally, high school was over. And everyone did what they always did and said they'd be friends. But, that never really happened. Sharpay had decided to move on to bigger and better things. Instead of attending the local university as planned, she decided to break free and move to Kansas for their performing arts program. Little did she know that when she got there, Troy and Gabriella had decided to go the same way.
Unlike most college freshman, Sharpay was driven. She wanted to succeed and to squash everyone beneath her. This started with joining a sorority, which is where she now resides.

It was six in the morning and Sharpay had just finished blow drying her hair. It was just another morning of primping and making herself fabulous. Sharpay would not allow herself to be like some of the other girls she'd seen on campus. Really, what was the point in wearing your pajamas to class? They were sleep wear for a reason. She just couldn't understand why someone would want to look so trashy when college was a place you went to impress.
Sharpay rolled her eyes as she adjusted a curl on her shoulder as she stood from her vanity mirror. She squeezed into her dress, which she wasn't even sure why she was wearing. The boys in this school were disgusting. Baggy pants and long hair. She had to nail herself a frat boy or something.
Then again... There was always Troy Bolton. Honestly, how long could he and Gabriella stay together anyway? |
